Gamedays are here which means it’s time for all the best snacks! Anyone else love football just for the food or is that just me!? Everyone loved the Loaded Smashed Potatoes so much that I thought I would do another variation for us to snack on! These buffalo flavored smashed potatoes are still so simple to make and are full of all the buffalo flavors! Which who doesn’t love that at gameday? Add these to your weekend spread or even serve them as a dinner side during the week! These flavors are unmatched.

What you need for Buffalo Smashed Potatoes:

  • Mini Red Potatoes
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Crumbled Blue Cheese
  • Butter
  • Buffalo Sauce
  • Ranch Dressing
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Garlic Powder

How to make these potatoes:

  1. I like to add my potatoes to a bowl of ice cold water for 30 minutes before! It helps make them even crispier. Poke holes into each potato before adding it to the water.
  2. Fill up a pot of water.
  3. Add the red potatoes to a pot of boiling water. Boil for 12-15 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender.
  4. Place potatoes on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. Using a small jar or glass, smash the potatoes.
  6. Top with melted butter, sea salt, pepper and garlic powder to coat.
  7. Place in the oven to bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with shredded cheddar cheese and blue cheese crumbles.
  9. Place back in the oven for 4-5 minutes.
  10. Remove and drizzle with buffalo sauce, ranch dressing and green onion.
  11. Enjoy!!

How to store your potatoes:

While these potatoes are best to enjoy right after making them, if you’re storing any leftovers it is best they are in a sealed container. I like using these storage containers!

If you want to switch it up, try doing this instead:

  • Use your favorite buffalo sauce or ranch dressing!
  • Try adding bacon on top!
  • Use a yellow potato! Just keep in mind, mini potatoes work best 🙂
