Spicy Tuna Salad

One of my favorite things to have prepped and ready for the week is a pre-made salad. It’s perfect for the busy days when you don’t know what to have for lunch. This Spicy Tuna Salad will quickly become a favorite and perfect addition toy your weekly meal prep.

Lunch time comes around and you find yourself staring in the fridge not sure what to make. It happens! The pre-made salads on One Balanced Life are meant to be a fix for those days when you need something quick but don’t have the time to throw anything together. This Spicy Tuna Salad packs in flavor and protein which will keep you fuller longer during the day!

I love all the ways you can switch this up too. By topping it on toast, putting it in a wrap or serving with crackers. There are so many ways to switch it up!

What you need for Spicy Tuna Salad:

  • Canned Tuna
  • Cilantro
  • Green Onion
  • Celery
  • Avocado Oil Mayo
  • Plain Greek Yogurt
  • Sriracha
  • Coconut aminos
  • Honey
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper

How to make this salad:

  1. Add canned tuna, chopped celery, green onion and cilantro into a bowl.
  2. Mix together dressing ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Add to tuna and mix to combine.
  4. Top on toast or however you like to serve it. Enjoy!!

How to store your salad:

It’s best to store your salad in a sealed container in the fridge. I like using these! If you’re taking your salad on the go for meal prep, these are great.

If you want to switch this up, try doing this instead:

  • Top it on toast, in a wrap, or on greens.
  • Swap mayo for plain greek yogurt
  • Add additional sriracha to give it more of a kick!!

How long will this last for?

This salad will last in the fridge for 3-4 days stored in a sealed container.

Do I have to use tuna?

This Spicy Tuna Salad is perfect to meal prep for a quick and easy lunch and made with a few simple ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna, drained
  • 1/3 cup celery, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp green onion
  • 2 tbsp cilantro
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil mayo
  • 2 tbsp plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp coconut aminos
  • 1/4 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • dash of black pepper
