Hot Honey Ricotta Flatbread

I love a good flatbread for an easy weeknight meal and this Hot Honey Ricotta Flatbread is so simple to make and perfect for a summer evening! It’s made with a few simple ingredients while still packing in so much flavor too.

Hot Honey Ricotta Flatbread

I always forget how good a flatbread can be for a summertime meal. Not only are they delicious but so easy to make too! I love all things hot honey and adding it drizzled on a flatbread is so good too. The combination of the ricotta, fresh basil, pepperoni and a drizzle of hot honey is perfection here. This will quickly become a summertime favorite and a meal that everyone will enjoy!

What you need to make Hot Honey Ricotta Flatbread:

  • Flatbread
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Uncured Pepperoni
  • Basil
  • Arugula
  • Hot Honey
  • Minced Garlic

How to make this flatbread:

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Brush minced garlic on the flatbread to cover. Add to oven on the middle rack for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from the middle rack and add to sheetpan.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, dollops of ricotta cheese and pepperoni to cover. Place back in the oven for 12 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil, a good drizzle of hot honey and fresh arugula.
  6. Enjoy!!

How to store your leftovers:

It’s best to store any leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge. I like using these for easy fridge storage. To reheat, place back in the oven for a couple minutes or reheat in the microwave.

What flatbread did you use?

I like to grab the flatbread from Trader Joe’s for this! You can use any flatbread or crust, just be aware that cooking times may vary.

What hot honey did you use?

I love this one! You can use any that you prefer.

Can I use something other than ricotta cheese?

While I think ricotta works best here, you could also try this with burrata or just use fresh mozzarella too.

Can I add more protein to this?

Yes! I’ve heard from some of y’all that you add shredded chicken or prosciutto to it too.

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10-12 tbsp ricotta cheese
  • 5 basil leaves, chopped
  • 10 uncured pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup arugula
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • hot honey
