I’m always looking for new ways to switch up my breakfast prep and these are a new favorite! If you’ve had the Starbucks Bacon Gouda Breakfast Sandwich, then you’ll love this easy option to make at home. Plus, when you make it at home you know what ingredients are in it and it saves you some money. Win-win!

If you’ve seen some of my prep on One Balanced Life, you know that breakfast sandwiches are a regular at my house. They are so satisfying and perfect to meal prep at the beginning of the week! Check out these Make Ahead Breakfast Sandwiches for another easy option.

What you need for Copycat Starbucks Bacon Gouda Breakfast Sandwich:

  • Ciabatta Roll
  • Eggs
  • Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • Gouda Cheese
  • Sea Salt

How to make this sandwich:

  1. Start by whisking your eggs. Add sea salt.
  2. Pour into egg silicone mold. I use this one!
  3. Place in the oven to bake for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Prepare applewood bacon according to package. I like to cook mine in the cast iron for extra crispiness!
  5. Cut ciabatta roll in half and toast.
  6. Assemble sandwiches with ciabatta, baked egg, gouda cheese and bacon.
  7. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  8. Place in freezer safe bag and put in the freezer to store.

How to best store these for meal prep:

It’s best to store these in the freezer in a large freezer safe bag. I like using these reusable bags! Before placing them in the freezer, you want to wrap them in plastic wrap.

Try this for adding more protein to your breakfast sandwiches:

If you want to add more protein to your sandwiches, try blending the eggs with cottage cheese. For 6 sandwiches, I blended 6 eggs with ½ cup cottage cheese, sea salt and pepper. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cut into squares and add to the sandwiches!

Tips for reheating your breakfast sandwiches:

Keep your breakfast sandwiches stored in the freezer. Pull them out and place in the fridge the night before you want one.

In the morning, remove the plastic wrap and place a paper towel around the breakfast sandwich. Place in the microwave for 50 seconds.

It’s best to store them in the freezer in a large reusable bag! Keep them sealed for freshness.

  • Add avocado once you reheat!
  • Try adding your favorite sauce once you reheat your sandwich.
  • Use smoked gouda for a smoked flavor!

Copycat Starbucks Bacon Gouda Breakfast Sandwich

These Copycat Starbucks Bacon Gouda Breakfast Sandwiches will be your new favorite breakfast! Made with a few simple ingredients and great to meal prep for the week.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, whisked
  • 4 ciabatta roll, toasted
  • 4 pieces applewood smoked bacon
  • 4 pieces gouda cheese
  • sea salt
  • avocado oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Whisk 4 eggs with a little sea salt.
  3. Spray silicone egg mold with avocado oil spray before pouring egg in.
  4. Cook bacon according to package.
  5. Cut ciabatta roll in half and toast.
  6. Bake eggs for 10-12 minutes until the eggs have set.
  7. Assemble sandwiches with ciabatta, egg, gouda cheese and bacon.
  8. Wrap in plastic wrap to store for prep.

Notes

If you want to add more protein to your sandwiches, try blending the eggs with cottage cheese. For 6 sandwiches, I blended 6 eggs with 1/2 cup cottage cheese, sea salt and pepper. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cut into squares and add to the sandwiches!

    My question is do you put together the sandwich after you toasted the Cibatta bread when the bread is still warm? Do you let to cool down before to wrap it in the plastic wrap? Thank you!!
