Which is usually most nights 🙂 These are a treat that I’m sure the whole family would love and would make for a great treat to make along with the kiddos. Who doesn’t love a treat that stays in the freezer and makes for a delicious bite?! These Chocolate Covered Banana Bites are a favorite around here and for many reasons! Not only are these so simple to make, but you can really switch them up based off what you have. I love making them a little festive during the holidays with Valentine’s sprinkles on top too. These bites are gluten free, great to meal prep and can be made dairy free too!

What you need to make Chocolate Covered Banana Bites:

  • Banana (I prefer these to not be too ripe!)
  • Peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice!)
  • Chocolate (dark, milk chocolate or semi sweet would work!)
  • Depending on if you’re switching them up you can add: shredded coconut, fresh raspberry chia jam, sea salt, sprinkles, etc.

Can I use any nut butter?

Yes! Any nut butter would work here as long as it isn’t a super runny nut butter. I love switching it up with almond butter, but if you want a nut free version, try Sunbutter!

How long will these last in the freezer?

You can store these for the week in the freezer. I’d recommend storing in a Tupperware container. I like this variety!

Can I use any chocolate for these?

Yes! You can dip your banana bites into any milk, dark or semi-sweet chocolate that you prefer. I like to use a little coconut oil when dipping the bananas in the chocolate.

Different ways to switch up Chocolate Covered Banana Bites:

  1. You can dip the banana fully in chocolate or just do half of the peanut butter banana.
  2. Try drizzling the chocolate on top instead of dipping!
  3. Add in a homemade chia jam to give more of a PB & J feel 🙂
  4. Use sprinkles to make it festive for any holiday!
  5. Add shredded coconut, sea salt or even hemp seeds sprinkled on top for a boost of protein.
