I love a good salmon bowl during the week and to throw together for a nutritious dinner. These Hot Honey Salmon Bowls are made with simple ingredients and add a touch of hot honey that’s the perfect addition! Add these to the menu for an easy meal!

Hot Honey Salmon Bowls

I love a good meal that comes together in a bowl. Can we all agree bowls are better than a plate!? If you agree with me, you’ll love this new Hot Honey Salmon Bowls. I think I could add hot honey to everything. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and savory and tops well on everything. I’ll add it to a lot of flatbreads or toast but it’s also delicious in a rice bowl like this. The fresh ingredients of the cucumber, carrots and edamame pairs well with the blackened salmon, brown jasmine rice and fresh herbs.

What you need for Hot Honey Salmon Bowls:

  • Brown Jasmine Rice
  • Cucumber
  • Salmon
  • Shredded Carrots
  • Green Onion
  • Cilantro
  • Edamame
  • Hot Honey

What you need for blackened salmon seasoning:

  • Chili powder
  • Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Oregano
  • Cayenne
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper

How to make these bowls:

  1. In a cast iron skillet, heat up avocado oil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together seasonings: chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, oregano, cayenne and black pepper.
  3. Cut salmon portions into nuggets. Add to a small bowl.
  4. Mix salmon with seasonings to completely coat. Pour salmon into heated skillet and cook on each side until fully cooked through.
  5. Cook rice according to package.
  6. In a bowl, add cooked rice, edamame, shredded carrots, cucumber and salmon nuggets.
  7. Top with green onion and cilantro. Drizzle with hot honey.
  8. Enjoy!!

How to store your salmon bowls:

While these are going to best to enjoy after making, you can store any leftover ingredients in a sealed container in the fridge. I like these for easy fridge storage.

If you want to switch up these bowls, try doing this instead:

  • Use your favorite rice or grain like farro or quinoa!
  • Top it with jalapeño sauce and hot honey for a sweet and spicy kick.
  • Add in more veggies!

  1. Can you just make your own hot honey? Just hot sauce and honey? Lol is there a specific brand of hot sauce you would recommend to do this?

    1. I’m sure you could but I haven’t done that before! I usually use the Trader Joe’s Hot Honey 🙂
